About Mongolian Barbecue

 

Mongolian Barbecue is an interactive style of exhibition cooking modeled after a centuries-old legend. According to this legend, 12th Century Mongol armies, led by the mighty warrior Genghis Khan, heated their shields over open fires to grill food in the battle fields.

 

 

About Genghis Grill and Mongolian Barbecue

 

Genghis Grill brought the concept of Mongolian Barbecue to Dallas in 1998.  Shortly thereafter, eight diehard fans of the restaurant and the concept of Mongolian Barbecue each opened his own franchise.  Four of those franchisees later went on to buy the concept in 2004. 

 

 

At Genghis Grill, diners “build their own bowls” from a selection of fresh meats, oils, vegetables, sauces, and spices in Khan's Kitchen (a food bar featuring an array of more than 80 ingredients). Guests then hand the creation over to one of the Grill Masters, who cooks it on a large, round grill right before their eyes. 

 

 

Innovation continues with its new dessert menu that includes Choc’late Lovin’ Spoon Cake and Oreo Kookie Bash.  The concept also offers guests a free meal on their birthday and a rewards program throughout the year.
