Rock Island High School Reviews

I went to Rocky and graduated in 2001, I currently attend a top 10 University and will be graduating in June. For a small town high school Rocky had some AMAZING teachers, however, they taught primarily advanced level classes. As far as I know the teachers I remember have since retired and have not been appropriately replaced. I do believe if you have a capable son or daughter Rocky can give them the necessary knowledge to go to and succeed at a good school. I also think their sports teams were pretty successful and Rocky parents and past grads love to support the teams and the school.

I think it is a good school if you are college bound. In short, there are some really good teachers (i.e. make lessons relevant to students and care about the students on a personal level) but you have to be lucky or try to get them.

I am not a parent I am a Rocky graduate of the year of 97 if you look at the statistics we dont really meet the teacher, student racio. There more students than teachers which makes learning hard and that is the way it has always been!! They need to hire more teachers to give students more one on one attention!!!

Need more extracurricular activites, teachers need to be hard and more firm when dealing with these kids, kids shouldnt run the schools, the teachers should
