I'm a freshman. From my point of view, West is a very good high school. It doesn't have a great nutritious lunch menu but then again, what school really does? None. I believe the teachers are actually really good. They teach us what we need to know. As for the athletes, well, I'm a current volleyball, basketball, and softball athlete. And believe me, WE DO WANT TO WIN! That's why we put in so many hours of work! We want to win every single year, which explains why we weighlift, and also take a weightlifting class. The dedicated students come to early-bird or after school weightlifting.I have many friends at West, and the fact is, I'm friends with people of many different groups! Some people care about popularity, most of us dont! West is best! Cleanliness, Lunch Menu, Students, Athletes, Teachers, Coaches, Administrators, Parents, Graduation Rate, everything. The restrooms are never clean, lunch menu does not provide nutritious food, students are rude and disrespectful, athletes don't care about winning, teachers don't discipline the kids, coaches don't motivate the athletes, administrators don't support the teachers, high dropout and low graduation rate, and parents don't even care about their kids. With 2,200 students, it is not the place to make friends or to be popular. Some students go through this school without a single friend.
